How Haute Sculpt was founded: Doug initially started working as a personal trainer with Fashion Models in the New York Fashion District, helping just a few clients that were modeling lose inches for fittings with exercise and diet. With influence from clients being involved in the fashion scene, Doug picked up on professional photography and partnered with several major athletic wear brands. Having to expand from personal training a few models to sometimes a class full of 30 models led to the creation of HAUTE SCULPT™ a workout style designed for the lean tone and flexible female figure show casing not only the style but the function of emerging athletic wear brands. Even before helping fashion models make runway size, Doug was known as “the body sculpture” as he is able to customize and individualize clients bodies with a combination of well thought and long lasting diet plans and advanced training techniques.

How to get in model shape?

Working out for fashion modeling can be very different than traditional workout programs designed for body building. While both of these methods have a goal of a lean and tone look for the stage or photo shoots. Traditional gym training programs focus on building size while the goals of most fashion models is to stay within a certain measurement or reduce size particularly in the hip area.

Nutrition timing , duration of cardio stretching and posture exercises are an important focus in workout programs for fashion models.

After hearing from many models past training experiences led to unwanted results in “bulk” of the leg muscles and hips , I decided to further research and come up with a program that i corporates a healthy way to lean and tone muscle with out increasing size.

I utilize both of these methods in the workout program “Model Body 1” and in the 60 day transformation customized programs.
