How to get in model shape?
Working out for fashion modeling can be very different than traditional workout programs designed for body building. While both of these methods have a goal of a lean and tone look for the stage or photo shoots. Traditional gym training programs focus on building size while the goals of most fashion models is to stay within a certain measurement or reduce size particularly in the hip area.
What makes training for the runway and fashion shoots different than traditional workout programs:
-Nutrition timing
-Duration of cardio
-Stretching
-Exercises designed to improve posture and lengthen muscles
Almost every factor of training for modeling is important and different than conventional strength training programs.
After hearing from many models past training experiences and fear of weight training lead to unwanted results in “bulk” of the leg muscles and hips , I decided to further research what practices are best for the long lean physique. After teaching group fitness classes dedicated to this model physique I and came up with Haute Sculpt a program that incorporates a healthy way to lean and tone muscle without increasing size, enabling models to enjoy the benefits of exercise while achieving a long lean body.
The Haute Sculpt classes and method are available live and over video. The workouts are also offered in an easy to follow online coaching format with the Model Body 1 programs which use a combination of written workouts and pre-recorded videos to follow.
How should models diet?
Haute Sculpt encourages models to eat a balanced and healthy diet with a focus on high nutrition content per calorie. However there are many differences between a model diet aimed at slimming down compared to the main stream information on eating to put on muscle mass. Generally speaking models do better with a plant based, low fat diet where carbohydrate and protein intake are individualized to meet exercise needs.
